Our story

A shophouse, an oak fire and a long table

“We wanted the kind of place we missed from summers on the Aegean — loud, generous, smelling of woodsmoke.”

Ember & Olive started with one oven, hand-built from Neapolitan clay and fired with seasoned oak. There is no gas line to the kitchen. Everything — bread, fish, vegetables, the lamb we are known for — is cooked by fire and judgement.

We pair Mediterranean technique with what Singapore does brilliantly: produce from local farms in Lim Chu Kang, fish landed at Jurong, and neighbours on Keong Saik who have become friends and regulars.

What our guests say

The lamb shoulder is the best thing I have eaten on Keong Saik — and that is a street full of good food. Sit at the counter and watch the oven.

Priya N.Tiong Bahru

We booked the long table for my father's 70th. The team handled twelve of us without a hitch, and the flatbreads kept coming.

Marcus T.Birthday dinner

Proper vegetarian options, not an afterthought. The charred cauliflower with tahini is worth the trip from the east side on its own.
